What to expect in your Cottage collection

Please note the plants below cover both sun & shade options – the final plants you receive may vary a little depending on season and availability, but without ever impacting the final result!

Rosa ‘Gertrude Jekyll’

This rose’s large, pink, eye-catching buds open into large cup-shaped blooms with petals arranged in a clear spiral pattern, and has a magnificent fragrance. It flowers continuously all summer.

Verbena bonariensis Lollipop

This dwarf variety of the classic Verbena creates fluffy sprays of lilac flowers on upright, dark-purple stems above clumps of fern-like, grey-green leaves. Light and airy.

Pennisetum ‘Fairy Tails’

Producing soft pink to
near-white flowers, which
turn biscuit shades over a
long season from
midsummer. This lovely
grass is soft to the touch.

Campanula carpica ‘Blue Clips’

This hardy and vigorous perennial forms a generous, dense mat of small ivy-like leaves which become hidden beneath the mass of small purple bells in summer.

Erigeron karvinskianus

Masses of small daisies - emerging white then turning pink with yellow centres - give this plant a lovely two-tone effect. Ideal for spilling onto pathways or cascading over a raised bed.

Salvia ‘Sensation Rose’

Slender spires of intense violet-pink flowers from July to September above clumps of wrinkled, mid-green leaves. This compact form of salvia is perfect for adding a splash of colour and height to a flower bed.

Sanguisorba ‘Pink Tanna’

In midsummer, slender stems bear densely packed, deep pink bottlebrush-like blooms, each with prominent pale pink stamens. These flowers have a gently swaying elegance as they catch the breeze.

Alchemilla mollis

No garden should be without this beautiful and useful perennial. It has scalloped, bright green leaves and from June to September, a frothy haze of tiny, chartreuse yellow flowers.

Hydrangea ‘Little Lime’

This lovely new hydrangea packs a real punch. It has strong stems that support the weight of the conical, lime green flowers, which fade to cream and then blush-pink in autumn.

Geranium ‘Mavis Simpson’

Loose clusters of funnel shaped, light pink flowers with paler centres and grey-green leaves. This vigorous, light pink geranium is an excellent groundcover plant for a cottage garden or herbaceous border.

Veronicastrum virginicum ‘Pink Glow’

Distinctive narrow spires of densely arranged tiny flowers top strong, leafy stems. An elegant perennial, providing a lofty vertical element to a late summer garden.

Carex testacea

Bearing slim arching leaves, which start out olive green and become warm copper-bronze with maturity. This particularly striking grass also creates small, brown flower spikes in summer.

Choisya ‘White Dazzler’

A compact, but impressive little shrub - this Choisya will flower with fragrant blooms in spring, and sometimes in both summer and autumn too. Very popular with pollinators.
