What plants to expect in your Jungle starter collection

Please note the plants below cover both sun & shade options – the final plants you receive may vary a little depending on season and availability, but without ever impacting the final result!

Dryopteris ethyrosora ‘Brilliance’

Delicate in appearance, but a hardy survivor in nature, The Japanese Shield Fern is a showstopping specimen that provides a lot of seasonal interest all year round.

Hakonechloa macra

An eye-catching ornamental grass, forming clumps of elegant arching foliage throughout the season. It is happy in sun & shade and is stunning when combined with ferns.

Echinacea purpurea

Large daisy-like flowerheads appear on upright, rigid stems for several months from midsummer. Butterflies and later birds will be attracted to them making this perennial a lovely addition.

Geranium ‘Rozanne’

This Geranium has masses of blue-purple saucer shaped flowers that are held above mounds divided mid-green foliage. A very reliable plant that spreads well and makes great ground cover.

Hosta ‘Halycon’

One of the best blue-leaved hostas. It has medium, glaucous blue leaves that are lance-shaped when young, becoming to heart-shaped when mature.

Heuchera ‘Obsidian’

The maroon-black foliage of this mainly evergreen form has a lustrous sheen, and as the season progresses, its colour becomes even more intense. Creamy white flowers appear in early summer.

Salvia ‘Royal Bumble’

This brilliant Salvia has gorgeous, port-coloured buds which open to reveal vivid, red flowers. It’s very tolerant of drought, and is hardy if given full sun and good drainage.

Heuchera ‘Silver Scrolls’

The handsomely lobed leaves of this low-growing semi-evergreen perennial are a deep burgundy,
with the tops of the
leaves are generously dusted in silver, creating quite a distinctive two
tone effect.

Kniphofia ‘Mango Popsicle’

A compact perennial forming stiff spikes of tubular deep-orange red flowers that fade to tangerine as they age over a few weeks.
